The Database Analyst is responsible for utilizing Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio for database querying, creating and/or managing relevant databases, maintaining and enhancing datasets and overall reporting capabilities to provide analytical intelligence, and analyzing data across multiple databases and software platforms. The Database Analyst will additionally coordinate and collaborate with team members from a third-party information technology and software development organizations. The Database Analyst must possess strong skills in developing queries for data mining on Microsoft SQL Servers and highly proficient in data manipulation. Applicants must have experience with Microsoft Excel, including advanced features such as pivot tables, charting tools, and formula functions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DATABASE ANALYST: Utilize Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to write queries and mine data. Create and/or manage relevant databases. Maintain and enhance datasets and overall reporting capabilities to provide analytical intelligence. Analyze data across multiple databases and software platforms. Gather and validate data from a variety of sources for use as inputs for analyses. Assist in the development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of automated reporting features to enhance decision support for leadership. Coordinate and collaborate with team members from a third-party information technology and software development organization that works in partnership with PMHFOS. Perform other tasks as requested by the Director of Analytics and Process Improvement. REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE DATABASE ANALYST: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Information Technology, Mathematics, Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other related discipline. Minimum of two years professional experience in an analytical, programming, database management, or similar role. Strong query-writing and data mining skills. Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server databases and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, preferred. Strong skills with Microsoft Office, specifically with Microsoft Excel, including advanced features such as pivot tables, charting tools, and formula functions. Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and solve problems in a timely manner. Keen attention to detail, ensuring the highest data quality and accuracy. Other preferred, but not required skills of interest include, experience developing business intelligence dashboards, configuring data pipelines/processes, or database architecture.
