Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:The Sr. Denials Analyst is responsible for identifying claim denial trends and optimizing entitled reimbursement through detailed analysis and strategic initiatives.
This role includes compiling and analyzing denials reports, identifying root causes, tracking and trending denials and resolutions, and helping to build and maintain an effective denials prevention program.
The Senior Analyst must be adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously and collaborating with various departments, as needed.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years in healthcare revenue cycle management with a focus on denials prevention preferred.
Proficiency in healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement methodologies.
Solid understanding of healthcare payer policies and procedures.
Experience leading interdepartmental projects, preferably related to denials management.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.
Experience with healthcare revenue cycle management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Preferably EPIC EHR.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient with preparing and delivering PowerPoint presentations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work independently as well as part of a team.
