: Day: 8 hoursJob DescriptionJob Profile SummaryThe Senior Process Improvement Advisor is a key resource in driving process improvement efforts and developing and implementing a Lean Management System throughout the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesForm, lead, and facilitate cross functional teams through planning, developing, coordinating and implementing improvement efforts, ensuring implementation runs smoothly and that gains are sustained and measured through data analysis and ongoing measurement of actionable performance data.Facilitate the diagramming and evaluation of existing processes, including identification of gaps, root cause analysis of issues, and opportunities for improvement.Coach and develop leaders and team members to improve the organization's capability to continuously improve utilizing Lean methodology.Develop metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. Perform cost and benefit analyses.Survey and analyze best practices for techniques and processes, recommend and facilitate improvements.Deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.Consult with leaders, departments, and committees on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and quality.QualificationsBachelor's degree in a work-related field required.Master's degree or combination of education and experience in Healthcare/Healthcare Administration preferred.Five (5) years' experience leading quality and process improvement efforts, preferably in a clinical setting, with demonstrated consultative, communication, coaching, teaching, facilitation and influencing skills.Knowledge of and experience using Lean tools and concepts such as: Structured problem-solving approaches (i.e. A3 thinking, Daily Problem Solving at front line, Value Stream mapping), Lean technical concepts (i.e. PDSA, Waste, 5S, Quality, Flow, and visual systems), as well as more advanced lean technical concepts (i.e. Level loading, Pull, Mistake-Proofing, and Rapid Changeover).Exhibits strength in business acumen, change agility, political and interpersonal savvy, and strategic focus.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to do data analysis, report writing and update/change/make project plans and strategic plans.Oral and written communication skills including training, coaching, and facilitating.Skilled in teaching improvement concepts and principles to diverse audiences from senior management to frontline staff.Knowledge of inpatient and clinic operations.Just In Time (JIT), process flow techniques, and Six Sigma knowledge.Project management experience in process transformation.Proficient in Computer Applications, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio and Outlook.License/Certification/Registration RequirementsLean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.Ages of Patients ServedThis position does not generally require contact with patients but may communicate with patients of all age categories.
