Overview

VTG is seeking a Netework Administrator in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The Network Administrator will provide techhincal experience to the Navy.This role is 100% onsite.What will you do?

Provide technical expertise and direct enhanced support as the resident Network Administrator responsible for supporting seamless communication and data flow across the COMPACFLT organization and partners.Technical Expertise and Direct Enhanced Support includes, but are not limited to, the following areas:

Provide support for the Design, Install, operation, and maintenance of the COMPACFLT N631 Networks/Systems to include but not limited to the Command and Control (C2) LAN network, Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS), Virtual Environment.Maintain N631 network routers, switches, firewall. Recommend and implement authorized changes in response to operational and security needs.Conduct network troubleshooting and repair of malfunctioning network equipment within the N631 networks and enclave.Perform traffic capture and analysis as required to facilitate resolution of communication problems between systems.Support project installations and implementationsPerform system administration for the SYSLOG server.Maintain access control, e.g. via ACLs, 802.1X, MAB, Comply to Connect, etc…Monitor, analyze and report status of N631 networks and systemsMaintain VMWARE virtual switches and network portion of the N631 virtual infrastructure.Support N631 virtual environment VMWARE and NETAPP.Maintain access control to computer equipment and spaces where servers connecting to C2 LAN reside. Provide escort duties to these spaces and equipment.Perform shift work and watch standing as required to support N63 operations and exercise requirements.Attend N6 Command Functions as directed.Communicate effectively and work in a team environment.Provide administrative duties, to include but not limited to documentation, reporting, budgeting.

Identify possible network and system enhancements and develop/execute project plans as directed by COMPACFLT. The contractor will be required to provide cleared staff at the SECRET level for facility and systems access.Provide primary technical continuity and provide in-depth technical training and guidance to the military and civilian IT personnel. This includes oversight of IT-specific tasks (management and dissemination of IT duties, ensuring work completed on time, monitoring status and progress of IT tasks, and providing progress of IT taskers). The contractor will be required to provide cleared staff at the secret level for facility and systems access. Responsibilities include:Research approved hardware, interface with appropriate vendors, request quotes from approved vendors, and provide documentation for procurement to include ITPRs, draft statement of work (SOW). Execute procurement of all IT materials; andWorking with COMPACFLT representatives to research, plan, and coordinate installation of new devices and technologies for foreign partners. Interface with the foreign partner representatives as required.This position is a Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) position as described in the DOD 8570.01-M. Upon request of the Information Assurance Manager (IAM), the employee shall provide documentation supportingtheir information assurance certification status. The employee must maintain certification status in accordance with DOD 8570.01-M. Employee not reporting onboard with DOD 8570.01-M certification requirements shall not be allowed to function in their intended position until fully certified or will be removed from the position.This position requires a technically competent, cyber smart individual to perform the functions and tasks associated with this position.Do you have what it takes?

Must possess a final/active SECRET clearance.Current Sec+, Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification or degreeCybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) certified as described in the DOD 8570.01-MAbility to lift and carry 50+ lbs and be able to access areas that could be difficult to access, e.g. under desks, ceilings, etcDesired:Five (5) years providing technical and direct suppot as Network Engineer supporting DOD netework infrastructure.At least five (5) years of experience with management of IT systems infrastructure and related processes.At least one (1) year experience with DISA STIGAt least one (1) year experience with Windows, Linux, and Cisco IOSAt least one (1) year experience with Programing (e.g. Python) and scripting (e.g. Shell).At least one (1) year experience with VMWARE and NETAPP.At least one (1) year experience with MS Office Products such as Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro and Visio.This is a Military Friendly job opportunityThis role is contingent upon contract award.Pay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $76,000-108,000, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
