As a Personnel Security Specialist III, you will play a vital role in processing investigation requests, managing e-QIP packets for federal and contractor employees, and ensuring the integrity of background investigations.Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze investigation requests for security clearances and assess compliance with security policies.
Conduct thorough investigations, including personnel security interviews (PSIs) and security briefings.
Prepare detailed reports and analyses based on investigations and applicant backgrounds.
Collaborate with project teams to provide expert insights and critical recommendations.
Conduct data entry, manage case files, and ensure timely submissions to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in personnel security or investigative roles, or an Associate's degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret security clearance and pass a CI polygraph exam.
Proficiency in analyzing investigative reports and conducting database checks.
Strong analytical skills and ability to identify security vulnerabilities.
Desired Attributes:
Knowledge of DOJ and FBI personnel security regulations.
Experience with interviews and preparing concise written communications.
Familiarity with indices systems and record check processes.
