Req ID: 446211 BASIC PURPOSE: The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data and crafting meaningful visuals that guide strategic decisions. Working across data sources, you'll turn raw information into engaging reports and interactive dashboards. A key contributor to your success will be collaborating and building relationships with teams throughout Loves business. You'll be responsible for designing and developing solutions that will enable business users to find opportunities and track KPIs to drive our business. This position will serve as a subject matter expert on effective presentation of insights with an emphasis on Tableau. Your role plays a vital part in providing insights that align with our goals and contribute to our success. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilize SQL to build datasets and Tableau to create interactive web-based dashboards, ensuring leadership and stakeholders are informed about organizational goal progress. Identify, automate, and validate the extraction of new metrics from various data sources. Collaborate closely with the business stakeholders and technology teams to deeply understand business needs and guide the design of analyses/reports. Effectively present data using analytics and visualization tools to support informed decision-making. Create detailed analytical reports, simplifying complex data into clear visual insights. Merge internal and external datasets, conducting thorough statistical analyses to highlight competitive advantages. Develop strong relationships with technical teams and domain experts. Offer ongoing consulting and support for reporting and analytics as needed. Approach all project requests with flexibility and curiosity to enable more effective problem-solving. Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail when identifying and resolving issues during debugging and detecting data anomalies. Effectively manage time to complete job responsibilities, communicate expectations, and meet deadlines efficiently. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS minimum, Masters preferred, in a relevant field, such as business analytics, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, management information systems, computer science, engineering, or other quantitative fields. 1-2 years experience preferred in retail, sales, marketing, data, IT, or operations with exposure to reporting and analytics At least 1 year of experience required using Tableau visualization software for data analysis and reporting. At least 1 year of hands-on experience writing SQL queries to extract and manipulate data. Proficiency in reporting, data management, and analytics tools, including creating ad-hoc reports. Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. Understanding of visualization principles and familiarity with designing effective dashboards. Proven troubleshooting and issue resolution skills in data-related tasks. Ability to create, interpret, and communicate technical documentation for training and end users. SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Proficiency in querying data from relational databases using SQL. Experience with data wrangling, data cleaning and prep Knowledge of basic statistics Excel proficiency, including simple formulas, lookups, and pivot tables. Understanding of database concepts, structures, and experience in data manipulation Natural curiosity that welcomes and embraces change and willingness to try new things. Creative thinker; strong analytical, multitasking, and interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience presenting to multiple audiences.
