We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to lead a dynamic team of Test Engineers and oversee the quality assurance process for various projects. This role involves managing testing schedules, resources, and equipment, as well as ensuring comprehensive test requirements are met. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software testing and development, with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively.ResponsibilitiesLead a team of 2 to 6 Test Engineers depending on project size.Provide estimates for testing schedules, test resources, and equipment needs.Ensure detailed test requirements are included in product requirements.Keep project and department managers updated on the project testing status.Analyze functional requirements to generate a comprehensive set of test cases.Write functional test procedures and automated test scripts for thorough product testing.Execute test procedures and automated test scripts as part of formal product testing.Conduct exploratory testing based on detailed knowledge of the product under test.Perform test reviews for other test engineers.Report product issues within the defect tracking system and manage the defect log through defect fix validation.Collaborate with extended team to build and enhance automated test tools and frameworks.Meet short- and long-term deadlines.Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers.Work regularly and dependably.Function in a team environment.Demonstrate ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament.Demonstrate ability to perform mental tasks such as making decisions, learning, thinking rationally, and exercising good judgment.Take on other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, HVACR Technology, or related discipline, or commensurate experience in software development or software testing.2 - 6 years of experience in engineering or related discipline, preferably in software testing.Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.Understanding and adherence to safety measures when working with electrical equipment.Effective communication skills, both written and oral.Coursework or experience in current test methodologies, quality assurance practices, and object-oriented and component-based product development.Experience with automated testing.Programming experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of industrial/embedded controls and building control systems.Knowledge of refrigeration cycle/chillers.Experience testing and configuring embedded controllers.Ability to understand both manual and automated testing.Hands-on test automation experience.Experience with positive and negative test cases.Project management and leadership experience.Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with work-from-home options on Mondays and Fridays. The role supports a booming industry related to the expansion of US-built data centers and offers leadership opportunities. The work involves using an in-house automated software tool for testing and documenting failures and test cases.
