Position Summary: The Senior Application Developer is responsible for building scalable, high-performance applications, serving as either an individual contributor or technical lead based on the project's size and complexity. The role involves developing efficient, secure applications that align with defined product requirements and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced proficiency in programming languages, algorithms, and data structures, along with a deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practices. Strong problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, are essential for success in this position. What We're Looking For: We are looking for an ambitious and passionate developer dedicated to creating cutting-edge web applications that deliver real customer value and drive innovation. The ideal candidate is a versatile problem-solver who seamlessly navigates the entire software stack, making impactful updates from the user interface or web API to the data. They will continuously drive improvements by iterating in the test environment and frequently deploying validated changes to production. Primary Responsibilities: Design applications to align with product requirements and user needs. Develop and maintain efficient reliable and scalable applications. Ensure applications comply with security best practices and regulatory standards. Identify and resolve application performance issues to enhance the user experience. Continuously enhance the codebase, integrating new technologies where beneficial. Gather and analyze usage data and client feedback to refine application features. Provide technical support and share expertise to guide the team. Automate testing to ensure application functionality and performance. Document applications thoroughly to support future enhancements and maintenance. Preferred Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in application development. Intermediate proficiency with technologies such as: C#, React, ASP.NET, MVC, XML, JSON, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery. Strong knowledge of software architecture frameworks and design patterns. Hands-on experience with cloud technologies. Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Databricks, Azure Synapse) for managing large data sets. Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Background in systems methodologies. Excellent critical thinking skills, sound judgment and clear decision-making ability. Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset and a desire to mentor team members. Ability to work both collaboratively and independently. Proven track record in a fast-paced, client focused environment. Deep understanding of software development lifecycle. Experience with source code management systems. Compensation and Location: The salary range is $87,000-$177,000, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This role can be located remotely within the US.
