Yours included.The IT Manager I will lead the day to day activities of technician staff and will facilitate the timely resolution of all computer related questions, problems, and requests from end-users.

The IT Manager I will be responsible for:Leading the team and scheduling day-to-day activities, providing work direction, career development, and performance reviews, and being responsible for staffing during normal hours.Leading the team in administering and processing all problems, ensuring that issues are responded to and resolved appropriately in a timely manner.Resolving the more complex problems escalated by staff and providing direct assistance to end users, and functioning as a liaison to other Hospital groups for ISD staff when needed.Recommending and implementing procedural changes and improvements to the ever-changing technological environment, making it more efficient and responsive to end-user needs.Providing status reports and feedback to management, interacting closely with other Hospital departments to better serve the end-user community.Demonstrating and maintaining a broad in-depth knowledge of supported software and related system requirements, and recommending new technology as appropriate.Training new staff in daily operations and procedures of the department, participating in and helping coordinate end-user trainings, and scheduling staff for appropriate trainings.Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of a support, production or operations teamsSets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors.Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager.Typically does not spend more than 20% of time performing the work supervised.To qualify you must have:Bachelor's Degree in the field of Computer Science Programming3 years of experience in related fieldBoston Children's Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits including flexible schedules, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, child care and student loan subsidies, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition and certain License and Certification Reimbursement, cell phone plan discounts and discounted rates on T-passes.
