The successful candidate will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with philanthropic partners, setting the vision and strategy to meet and exceed annual fundraising goals, and actively leading the major gift process. The Director of Development will be expected to manage a capital campaign consultant, engage with board members, and lead a local team to execute the fundraising strategy. Strong interpersonal, communication, and strategic thinking skills are essential, as is the ability to devise innovative fundraising plans and mobilize stakeholders to achieve the company's goals.. The role demands a self-starter with a track record of success in a dynamic non-profit environment, and experience with CRM/Fundraising Software, particularly Raiser's Edge, is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, comfortable with making solicitation asks, and able to serve as a highly visible ambassador for the organization. A Bachelor's degree is required, as well as the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, travel to school locations, and periodic travel to New Jersey.
