La Roche University continues to enhance and expand its health programs and is continuously seeking qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty in the (DNAP) Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice program. We currently have an opening for an adjunct instructor to chair Scholarly Projects in the broad area of anesthesia. While some of the interaction will be online, the adjunct will be required to be on-site at our suburban Pittsburgh campus several times during each term to interact with students in person.

Adjunct Faculty for Scholarly Projects will engage with and assist students from start to finish with research projects for the entire project period. The projects run four semesters: summer, fall, spring, and summer.
.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Chair Five Scholarly Projects * Provide guidance and support to five students throughout the scholarly project process, covering proposal development, final draft, poster creation, and final presentation.
* Regular Communication: * Maintain consistent communication with students multiple times each term to monitor progress and address questions.
* Provide Constructive Feedback * Offer detailed, constructive feedback on students' written work to ensure high standards in their scholarly projects.
* Adhere to Deadlines * Follow the project deadlines set out in the Scholarly Project Handbook and course materials on Canvas to keep students on track for timely completion.
* Report Issues * Communicate any concerns regarding student progress or project issues to the Anesthesia Faculty responsible for coordinating scholarly projects.
* Four-Semester Commitment * Engage with students across four semesters (summer, fall, spring, and summer) from project initiation through completion, ensuring continuity and comprehensive support. * Must be physically present for the defense at the end of the four-semester commitment
* Campus Meetings * Although the course is online, the instructor must be willing to come to campus to meet with students or cohorts as needed.
This role requires a dedicated individual who can guide students effectively through the entire research process over a multi-term period.
Education/Qualifications:
* A current Pennsylvania RN license and a doctorate degree in a related field are required. * At least two years of nursing experience required. * Clinical teaching experience is preferred. * Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills are essential. * Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
