JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services. The IT Project Manager will lead large complex projects and full life cycle programs. This position is responsible for the entire project scope and project needs to ensure successful delivery on time, within scope and budget. The IT Project Manager will coordinate activities across cross-functional teams, clients and business units in addition to managing stakeholder expectations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Business Analysis Analyzing and gathering requirements Drawing up SOW and Business Case documents Project and Program Demand Management Project and Program Initiation, Planning and Execution Develop detailed project plans Assign resources and coordinate activities Manage resources (time, budget, people etc.) Define project scope, goals, deliverables Conduct steering committee meetings, utilize communication plans Keep projects up to date for real time visibility, including RAID logs and subsequent dashboards and reporting Put together test cases and get stakeholder sign off Leadership Draw up communication plans and cadence Facilitate project meetings and steering committee calls Riks Management Identify risks as early as possible and develop mitigation strategies Ensure compliance with organizational policies and adherence to review boards Reporting Provide project/program status reports to project teams, steering committee and senior leadership Use dashboards within the PM tool to ensure compliance with the PMO governance standards Project Closure Ensure proper project closure is carried out Hand over documentation to helpdesk/support teams Benefits realization Project surveys Stakeholder management Primary point of contact for the project amongst all stakeholders Manage expectations to ensure clear and regular communication on project status Flexibility for calls with regional counterparts or stakeholders in other time zones Working alongside the PMO team on the rollout of the PMO, governance, standards and assisting business units Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Management, Engineering or related field 6 years of IT project and program management Certifications in: PMP, PgMP, Agile or Scrum certifications or equivalent are advantageous Capacity to work independently to complete projects and tasks Proficiency in understanding and communicating IT related concepts, technologies and methodologies in the industry. Proficiency in the use of project management software such as Wrike, Jira, MS Project etc. Proven experience managing successful teams and navigating complex issues Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, to comprehend the conversations and to present key information clearly Proven track record of successfully delivering projects, within time, scope, budget and resource constraints. Experience managing large, complex projects ENVIRONMENT: 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 13kgs.
