Job Summary
The Lead I - Software Engineering position is ideal for an ITSM professional with a strong background in ServiceNow, ITOM technologies, and Application Portfolio Management. This role involves end-to-end software development, project management, team leadership, and optimizing application maintenance and performance. The candidate will collaborate across multiple functions, manage a technical team, and contribute to system architecture, design, coding, and release management.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead IT Service Management (ITSM) and Application Portfolio Management (APM) initiatives.
• Develop, debug, test, and document software components and applications.
• Oversee system integration, ensure compliance with coding standards, and optimize performance.
• Implement ServiceNow ITSM modules, including Asset Management, Incident Management, Change Management, CMDB/Discovery, and Service Mapping.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align projects with business requirements and provide customer-facing presentations.
• Oversee quality assurance processes, conduct code reviews, and manage defect resolution and release processes.
• Mentor junior team members, provide performance feedback, and guide their professional development.
• Define project requirements, scope, and deliverables, and ensure project schedules are met.
• Manage configuration, testing, and documentation to maintain compliance with engineering standards.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in ITSM, ITOM, and ServiceNow implementations.
• Strong background in Application Portfolio Management (APM) and technical integration.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow development, Common Service Data Model (CSDM), and ITSM modules (Asset, Incident, Change Management, CMDB, and Service Mapping).
• Advanced experience in system integration using web services, including XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST, and SOAP.
• Skilled in scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell for automation.
• Solid understanding of ITIL, CMDB, and ITSM fundamentals.
• Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban.
• Knowledge of Rapid Application Development (RAD) and customer domain knowledge for specific problem-solving.
Certifications
• Relevant domain or technology certifications (e.g., ITIL, ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist).
