A Senior Hardware Test Automation Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and integration of new features into our products. This position involves close collaboration with the firmware team to support validating the features in Hardware & firmware levels, eventually integrating them into ŌURA's comprehensive test infrastructure. The work will be done in close collaboration with the Development teams in SD and with testing teams and firmware development teams in Oulu, Finland, which will offer you the opportunity to use your effective teamwork skills across different levels in our dynamic multinational organization.What you will do:
Build and maintain unit level HW and FW test CI infrastructure in our San Diego office, ensuring a cohesive and efficient development and test environment.Collaborate with the firmware team to ensure proper firmware test capabilities for new features.Design and implement HW test automation setups
for the validation of new features.Integrate and develop new capabilities with the existing Continuous Integration (CI) systems.Automate pre-production lab equipment, including battery simulators, to streamline testing processes.Contribute to the planning of assembly self-tests to ensure product quality and reliability.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.5+ years of experience in hardware testing and automation, preferably in the wearable technology or consumer electronics industry.Proficient in languages like Python, C, C++, Javascript and test automation frameworks.Experience with CI/CD tools and Git version controlFamiliarity with developing test infrastructure, lab equipment automation and testing methodologies.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams.The ability to work independently and be a self-starterA willingness to drive qualityBenefitsAt ŌURA, we care about you and your well-being.
