Job Description
Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork in partial clean room attire; clean room smock, shoe covers, hairnet and gloves.Operate hand tools to assemble delicate subsystemsUse a microscope to perform detailed inspection of in process material and assembliesAbility to follow standard operating procedures, identify non-conformances, and work within existing process flowsAbility to identify issues with existing processes and communicate solutions with engineering teamPerform data entry with a high degree of accuracy dailyMaintain a clean and organized workstationEducation & Experience
Vocational Training or Associate's Degree in relevant technical field (Electronics, Lasers, Optics)1-3 years of hands-on experience working in a high-tech manufacturing environment.Ability to work independently.Dexterity to handle delicate, small optics with tweezers or other toolsPrevious experience reading, understanding and following procedures and work instructions.Excellent spoken and written English, and good communication skills.Good record keeping skills, organized, dependable.Familiar with working in a cleanroom environment; follower of good housekeeping practices.Basic reading, writing and math skills.Demonstrated attention to detail.Must work well in teams.Skills
Previous experience in optic or electronic components manufacture.Computer skills: using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), LabView, Oracle or Agile experience a plus.Previous experience using high tech equipment.Knowledgeable of laser safety and standards, and safety practices in general.Knowledge of electrical systems, vacuum systems, welding and/or machining equipment a plusWorking Conditions
This position works in a manufacturing environment.Physical Requirements
Ability to lift heavy objects regularly
