As a

Business Development Representative (BDR)

at RIVET, you will play a crucial role in driving our growth by sourcing and qualifying new business opportunities. You will work closely with the Account Executive and Marketing teams to identify and target key accounts, execute strategic outreach campaigns, and accelerate the sales pipeline. Your efforts will directly contribute to RIVET's mission to become the leading workforce management platform in the construction industry.

In this role, you will proactively engage with potential customers, build strong relationships, and effectively communicate the value of RIVET's solutions. You'll leverage your communication and organizational skills to build a robust pipeline, conduct thorough research, and provide valuable insights to the sales team. The experience you gain here will help you advance within RIVET, growing into roles with increasing responsibilities.

As you grow in this position, you'll enhance your sales skills, gain in-depth knowledge of our industry, and contribute to optimizing our sales processes. This is a fast-paced and evolving role where your efforts will directly impact RIVET's success.

This role reports directly to the Sales Development Manager within the Marketing organization and collaborates closely with the Account Executive team.What You'll Do

Identify and target key accounts within our ideal customer profile to build pipeline through dedicated outbound prospecting.Conduct thorough research on assigned target accounts, including industry trends, company news, and organizational structure.Execute strategic outreach campaigns, including email, phone, and social media, to engage with decision-makers.Qualify opportunities based on criteria such as budget, timeline, need and decision-making authority.Schedule and conduct discovery calls to understand customer needs and pain points.Collaborate with Account Executives to develop and execute effective sales strategies that accelerate pipeline.Accurately track and manage sales activities and pipeline in our CRM system.Provide regular updates and reports on sales progress and pipeline health.Continuously improve your sales skills and knowledge of the construction industry.What You'll BringBachelor's degree OR Associate's degree OR equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar roleProven track record of prospecting, qualifying leads, and exceeding sales targetsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levelsStrong understanding of the B2B sales cycleA passion for the construction industry and a desire to transform itProficiency in HubSpot or a similar CRM platformAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent time management and organizational skillsBenefits to Help You Bring Your Best Self to WorkCompetitive compensation and equity packagesHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) matchingEmployee stock option programCommuter (parking) benefitsVacation and paid holidaysFree weekly lunches
