About our Client:
CFS of New York is working with a Nonprofit organization with a mission centered around serving individuals and families experiencing Homelessness in the community. This is a newly created role as they are experiencing tremendous growth within the organization.
What you'll do as the CFO:
Lead financial and accounting management,
compliance/ risk management, reporting of all grants and funding regulations, accounts payable, budgeting, balancing of revenues and expenses, payroll, banking relations, daily cash management, retirement accounting, administrative budget, and agency-wide budget.
Advise on and provide timely and accurate financial information and performance reporting. Consult the CEO & President, board of directors and stakeholders while providing leadership to guide the organization's financial activities including annual and long-term planning/forecasting. Responsible for leading all financial management and accounting functions
Working capital management, cash management, financial controls, risk management
Support team members' learning, development, and career growth. Manage and mentor the team to achieve ambitious results and create a high standard of accountability. What You Bring:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting. Certified Public Accountant [CPA] designation is required. 15+ years of experience in financial management, including at least ten years of direct management and supervisory experience. Experience in human services administration, office management systems. Nonprofit accounting experience required. Prior experience with DHS housing contracts (shelters and supportive housing preferred). Must have Budget, Analysis, Forecasting and Cash Management experience. A demonstrated working knowledge of nonprofit treasury items such as receivable, advances, revenue, etc. Knowledge of database management systems and accounting application systems. #INJAN2024 #CBJAN2024
