POSITION SUMMARY
The Director will lead work to develop and adapt quality measure sets for use in NQF and The Joint Commission (TJC) evaluation products. The Director will assess the feasibility of existing measures for prioritized topics, lead efforts to gain multistakeholder consensus on the measure sets, and lead development efforts for new measures as needed.
The Director provides oversight of projects, including managing project team leads; ensuring projects are on time and within budget; and overseeing and monitoring project direction, milestones, budgeting, and forecasting. The Director will be accountable for the professional growth, development, and career well-being of staff, modeling exceptional leadership behavior and NQF/TJC values. The Director will also provide thought leadership and content expertise to staff on use of measures in evaluation products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead teams developing and adapting measures for use in measures-based products to support value-based payment and the delivery of high-quality care.Work with teams to staff to generate ideas, identify and manage risks, proactively solve problems, and triage relevant issues up to leadership.Manage and oversee delivery of products on time with excellence.Move measure sets through the product development process, collaborating and coordinating with internal stakeholders across NQF and TJC.Present project updates to internal and external stakeholders.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Advanced degree in healthcare or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, such as knowledge of quality measurement methods, measure development, measure implementation opportunities and barriers, and public and private sector use of measures in quality improvement or accountability programsMinimum of 3 years of experience managing people, budgets, and projects to targetsMinimum of 3 years of experience managing, coaching, and mentoring individuals and/or teams and holding staff accountable for resultsSkills/Abilities:
Proven track record leading and managing multiple complex projects and competing priorities to achieve optimal resultsDemonstrated communication skills, including writing and presentation to external audiencesDemonstrated ability guiding staff on project organization, execution, continuous improvement and completion of deliverables.Ability to effectively collaborate and interact with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectivesDemonstrated meeting facilitation and presentation skillsAuthentically displays joy in the collaborative process and fosters enthusiasm for the work, cohesion, and enjoyment among staff
