Job Description
My client is seeking a strategic and results-oriented
Business Development Manager (BDM)
to drive growth and expand their business in the biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical sectors. This role involves identifying new opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and developing strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals. As a BDM, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver value-added solutions to their customers. This is a fully remote role.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical industries.Develop and execute business strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing accounts.Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders, including senior executives, procurement teams, and technical experts.Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their challenges and providing tailored solutions from their product and service offerings.Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure mutual benefit and long-term partnerships.Lead sales efforts, including managing the sales pipeline, forecasting, and achieving revenue targets.Collaborate with internal teams such as R&D, technical support, regulatory affairs, and supply chain to deliver comprehensive solutions to customers.Develop and present detailed business plans, sales forecasts, and performance reports to senior management.Track and report key metrics, including revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction.Continuously assess and refine business development strategies to align with company goals.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a strong background in the specialty chemicals, biopharmaceutical, or pharmaceutical industries.Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.Deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and specialty chemical applications.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.Willingness to travel domestically as needed (up to 30-50%).What's on Offer
