The company was acquired by a global market leader in 2012, and has seen continuous growth which has allowed them to ramp up their commercial team, specifically in the microelectronic and semiconductor verticals.

Job Description

The Business Development Manager will:

Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the semiconductor cleaning chemicals market. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including semiconductor manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and end-users. Analyze industry trends and market needs to position the company's products effectively, creating tailored solutions for customers. Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to align go-to-market strategies with customer demands. Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets, revenue growth, and market penetration. Drive the entire sales cycle from lead generation, qualification, proposal development, to closing deals. Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. Monitor competitive activity and industry trends, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Manage and grow key customer accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention. Provide technical and application expertise related to semiconductor cleaning chemicals to support clients in making informed purchasing decisions. Coordinate with technical support and customer service teams to ensure timely product delivery and resolution of any client issues. Work closely with product management and R&D teams to provide customer feedback, ensuring that products meet market and customer needs. Collaborate with regional sales teams to support business development efforts and share insights from client interactions. Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings to network and stay updated on industry developments. Provide regular reports on sales activities, progress against targets, and market trends to senior leadership. Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records, tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions. The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus. Proven experience (5+ years) in business development or sales in the semiconductor, chemicals, or a related technical field. Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and the role of cleaning chemicals in the production process. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to drive new business and achieve sales targets. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with sales forecasting tools is a plus. Willingness to travel (as needed) across the Northeast to meet with clients, attend industry events, or support business development efforts. What's on Offer
