Major Gifts OfficerInternational Wildlife Conservation NonprofitRemote - WA, OR, CO, MD, WI preferredSalary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experienceTerrific Major Gifts Officer ("MGO") position with an international wildlife conservation nonprofit. The MGO will be joining the organization during a time of planned growth. The role will be responsible for the full fundraising lifecycle of individual donors and prospects capable of giving $10k+. The MGO will implement strategies to increase individual giving by cultivating relationships with new prospects and identifying existing donors with increased giving capacity. Candidates should have approximately 5-8+ years of fundraising experience and possess a proactive entrepreneurial mindset. This position operates remotely and it is preferred that candidates are based in Washington, Oregon, Maryland, Colorado, or Wisconsin.Responsibilities:Manage the full fundraising lifecycle for a portfolio of individual donors and prospects capable of giving $10,000+Create and implement fundraising strategies to grow and develop the donor base, including moving current donors to higher levels of givingCollaborate with other development staff to integrate fundraising strategiesMeet with donors and prospects, create written proposals, and secure new donorsPerform donor recognition and stewardshipAssist with fundraising eventsCollaborate on the planning and execution of annual giving campaignsQualifications:5-8+ years of relevant fundraising experienceExcellent relationship building skills and demonstrated track record of securing 5+ figure giftsAbility to interface at all levels, including with the BoardComfortable working independently in a remote capacityStrong written and verbal communication skillsEntrepreneurial mindset and proactiveInterest or prior experience in wildlife conservation or a related area is a plusAbility to travel periodically, including internationallyEqual Opportunity Employer.
