Position Overview:
We're hiring a Senior Data Center Administrator to oversee and enhance our data center infrastructure and network operations. Responsibilities include configuring, maintaining, and optimizing our systems to ensure a secure and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in VMware, Active Directory, network security, and storage solutions, and should have the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the management and maintenance of data center infrastructure, ensuring high availability and efficiency.Administer, configure, and troubleshoot complex network protocols and configurations, including advanced routing, BGP, and NAT configurations.Manage VMware virtual environments, including distributed virtual switches (DS Switch) and VMware Horizon VDI clusters.Maintain Active Directory and Windows Server environments, including Server 2012, 2016, and 2022.Configure, manage, and troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, DFS and other server roles in multiple domain environments.Perform regular system updates, backups, and disaster recovery procedures using Commvault.Manage SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network-Attached Storage) systems to ensure data integrity and availability.Oversee firewall management, focusing on SonicWall firewalls with high availability (HA) configurations.Maintain and optimize Dell PowerEdge servers for peak performance in virtual cluster.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform scheduled maintenance.Lead a team of data center administrators , providing guidance, setting goals, and fostering a collaborative work environment.Skills & Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience in data center administration or a similar role.Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or SonicWall Network Security Administrator (SNSA).Advanced understanding of BGP, NAT, advanced routing, and firewall management (preferably SonicWall).Proven experience with Active Directory and Windows Server versions 2012, 2016, and 2022 in multi-domain environments.In-depth knowledge of VMware, including virtual switching, DS Switch, VMware clusters, and Horizon VDI.Experience managing backup systems, specifically using Commvault.Competency in SAN and NAS management.Proficiency in configuring and maintaining Dell PowerEdge servers.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
