Position: Occupational Therapist
Pay Scale:
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about improving the lives of individuals through sensory integration techniques? Lakeport Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to lead our innovative Sensory Integration Program. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the daily functioning and well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:Patient Identification:
Identify residents with sensory needs through comprehensive assessments and observations, with a focus on improving daily functioning and quality of life.Sensory Integration Assessments:
Conduct thorough sensory integration assessments, including cognitive assessments, to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each resident's unique needs.Treatment Planning and Implementation:
Develop and implement evidence-based sensory integration interventions to address sensory deficits and enhance resident's functional abilities.Collaboration with Nursing Staff:
Work closely with nursing staff to ensure seamless integration and carryover of sensory techniques following discharge, promoting continuity of care and maximizing outcomes.Program Leadership:
Lead and oversee the Sensory Integration Program, providing guidance and mentorship to staff members, and ensuring program effectiveness and quality improvement.What makes Lakeport Post Acute a great place to work?!

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in CA.Demonstrated expertise in conducting sensory integration assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members.Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a passion for improving the lives of individuals with sensory needs.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.Additional training or certification in sensory integration therapy.
