Your Role:

Commercial Drivers at Coastal Waste & Recycling are the backbone of our operations. As a CDL Driver you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and transportation of waste and recyclables. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Operate waste collection vehicles, including garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, and recycling trucks, along designated routesPerform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirementsForklift ExperienceCollect waste and recyclables from residential, commercial, and industrial areasOperate hydraulic lift systems to empty waste containers into the truckEnsure the safe and secure transport of waste to designated disposal or recycling facilitiesMaintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle, including minor repairs and reporting major issuesAdhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT requirementsProvide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concernsComplete and maintain accurate logs and records of routes, collections, and vehicle maintenanceQualifications

What We're Looking For:

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving recordProven experience as a CDL driver, preferably in the waste management industryKnowledge of local geography and road networksStrong understanding of safety regulations and proceduresAbility to operate and maintain waste collection vehicles and equipmentExcellent communication and customer service skillsPhysical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and operating heavy equipmentShifts may vary, 40+ hours per week (overtime available)Must be able to safely lift and move 50lbs or more at a timeAble to sit in trailer cab for extended periods of time
