Joint Operations Center Operations Officer
to assist in providing support to the U.S. INDO-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Joint Operations Center (JOC) across the conflict continuum from peace to conflicts on a range of operations that include crisis response, limited contingency operations, military engagement, security cooperation, and deterrence in the nation’s largest geographic combatant command at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.You would be an excellent candidate for this position if you:Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Have experience and a desire to work independently and with a team to successfully achieve objectives.Are an experienced Joint leader, able to analyze situations, then present clear, comprehensive recommendations for decision-making.The Joint Operations Center Operations Officer will assist the JOC Operations Director and/or Current Operations (J33) team with creating an initial assessment and execution of emergency response actions to emergent contingencies and humanitarian missions.Essential Responsibilities :Serve as a JOC Operations Officer for HQ USINDOPACOM.Facilitate the conduct of operations by processing and disseminating approved orders and messages to component commands.Assist in the development of oral presentation briefs.Monitor the execution of all combined, joint operations and exercises being conducted in the USINDOPACOM area of responsibility.Track the progress of sensitive, persistent operations having a national level of interest that includes reconnaissance operations, Freedom of Navigation operations, Pacific Presence Operations, Continuous Bomber Presence, Ballistic Missile Defense, and Theater Security Package.Consistently identify potential problems or opportunities in a proactive manner, analyze the issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives and arrive at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.Filter and present data in intuitive and meaningful forms and then communicate and defend analytic work and results in technical and non-technical terms at all levels of interest, from peers to senior officers and officials.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degreeExperience working as a Joint Officer at a Combatant Command Headquarters.At least 10 years of combined experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD).Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Must have an active Top-Secret clearance and be SCI eligible. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:3 years' experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations (AOR).Qualified as JOC Operations Officer.Familiarity with INDOPACOM Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), Deliberate and Crisis Action Plans, and Operations Plans (OPLANS).Experience coordinating with other Department of Defense (DoD) entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and INDOPACOM's Service Components as well as non-DoD organizations.
