This is a unique opportunity for an attorney with a book of business to build on an existing client base while also working closely with senior attorneys transitioning their practices in the coming years. The firm serves clients across various industries, including real estate, construction, technology, manufacturing, and retail, offering high-level legal services in estate planning, business law, and post-death estate administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning and probate law, a track record of excellent client service, and superior research and writing skills. This hybrid role provides flexibility with both in-office and remote work options.LocationSeattle, WADutiesProvide comprehensive estate planning services to clients, including lifetime planning and post-death estate administration.Assist clients with complex estate planning issues, including tax strategies, asset protection, and business succession planning.Handle probate matters, including filing documents with the court, managing estate assets, and assisting with distribution of assets to beneficiaries.Advise clients in business law matters, including formation, governance, contracts, and corporate compliance.Build and maintain client relationships, providing high-level, personalized legal services.Collaborate with senior attorneys to transition and expand the firm's estate planning and business law practices.Research complex legal issues and draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, and business agreements.Represent clients in probate court hearings, mediations, and settlements.RequirementsExperience in estate planning, probate law, and business law.Proven ability to manage and grow a book of business.Experience working with high-net-worth clients and handling complex estate planning matters.Strong knowledge of federal and state estate and tax laws, business formation, and governance.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex legal matters.Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team of attorneys and staff.Entrepreneurial spirit and a strong commitment to excellent client service.Ability to manage a diverse caseload and meet deadlines effectively.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.CertificationsLicensed to practice law in Washington State (or eligibility for Washington State Bar admission).SkillsEstate planning, probate law, and business law expertise.Strong research, analytical, and drafting skills.Excellent communication and client relationship-building abilities.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Ability to handle complex legal and financial matters.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Hybrid work schedule with flexibility for in-office and remote work.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off (PTO) and holidays.401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions.Support for community service and pro bono work.Professional development and opportunities for growth within the firm.
