Unit Information: Endoscopy at LewisGale Medical Center.Address: 1900 Electric Road, Salem, VA 24153, 2nd Floor, Main Hospital.General Information: 4 Endoscopy Procedure Rooms, approx 25 staff with Day Shift primarily RN’s, including scrub tech and scope room techs, Night Shift on-call only, 20-30 patients through the department each weekday, equipment includes Olympus scopes and Provation procedural documentation, Meditech EMR system.Responsibilities include training all RNs to admit patients, circulate and scrub in procedural cases, recover, and discharge patients.Typical procedures performed: EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy.Job Requirements
Must have 2 years of RN experience.Preferred: PACU or ICU experience, although not required.Best personality fit: Fast-paced, multi-tasker, quick learner, comfortable in frequently changing situations, and team-oriented.Schedule Information
Week days and weekend call required for all staff, including PRN.Unit Specific Information
Dress Code: Hospital issued scrubs - surgical attire policy, no visible piercings.
