Data Scientist .The
Data Scientist
will demonstrate full use and application of data science principles, methods, theories, and concepts to assignments where precedents may exist. Demonstrate working knowledge of other related disciplines. Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems through design and execution of data science research. Demonstrates ability and initiative to identify and explore novel approaches to data science solutions. Makes strong contributions to the exploration, refinement, and deployment of data science solutions. Acts as a key data science contributor on projects/experiments of moderate scope and complexity with high impact on the business. What You Will Do:
Use statistical, algorithmic, data mining, and visualization techniques to model complex problems, identify opportunities, discover solutions, and deliver actionable business insights.
Own your projects and use this autonomy to find creative and innovative ways of solving problems and delivering solutions.
Handle both parts of the Research & Development process, including clean, rigorous implementations of devised models inside our Analytics system.
Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
Agentic AI with autonomy with actions to achieve specific ML/AI goals.
Required Skills:
Be in constant communication with team members and other relevant parties and convey results efficiently and clearly.
Ability to understand complex new concepts quickly and accurately
Be excited about collaborating daily with your team and other groups while working via a distributed model.
Be eager to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them
Ability to design, articulate and create something new. You will be a key member of the team that anticipates, researches, and understands the needs of stakeholders
Use version control systems such as GitHub to track changes and coordinate software development on shared projects.
Knowledge of data mining and analytic methods such as regression, classifiers, clustering, association rules, decision trees, Bayesian network analysis, optimization methods, controller logic/programming; should have expert-level knowledge in all of these areas
Required Qualifications:
Advanced degree (M.S., Ph.D.) in Math, Statistics, CS, Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience
5+ years in the data science field or related analytical/physics-based modeling
2+ years of recent experience working in industrial space including asset/condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, LLMs, etc.
Hands-on, current experience with data analysis life cycle tools
Working knowledge on Linux
Experience with Python, MatLab, and/or other popular scripting languages
Strong knowledge in SQL and ETL tools
Working knowledge in tools such as Google Vertex AI, Azure ML Studio, DataRobot, Dataiku, etc.
You must be curious by nature and love learning about new programming languages, algorithms, and applications
