2 Days AgoThis position is responsible for managing a number of commodity & ingredient categories that may include Corn & Eggs among other agricultural based commodities (soybeans/wheat etc). Supporting the manufacturing network of ~14 private label food manufacturing facilities, and responsible for category ownership including sourcing new vendors, monitoring futures markets, vendor relationship management, negotiating supply & best in class pricing, supporting quality and RDI initiatives and ensuring continuity of supply for all plants.Role and Responsibilities:Lead the coordination of rail/truck logistics for inbound/outbound grain and flour shipments including financial analysis of rates, demurrage, contracts, rebates and invoices.Track and trace all rail/truck loading and in transits to ensure appropriate lead times and delivery dates are adhered to.Coordinate contract and source list creation and maintenance with both corporate purchasing team and local material planners on a regular basis; conduct routine checks to ensure data freshness and accuracy.Maintain supplier, pricing and material master data in ERP systems (SAP, Agris & M3).Performance and service reporting for key performance indicators (KPI’s) and scorecarding.Partner with logistics and milling operations for weekly byproduct ship orders / mill receipt invoicing for multiple locations.Work with Procurement Finance on month end processes / reporting to include reconciliation.Lead data collection from internal buyers and external suppliers to support PLM/PDM process for new product launch, innovation and on-going maintenance in procurement operations area.Manage changes and updates to SAP Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order workflow approvals.Provide assistance to the Procurement Category Managers on various sourcing projects as needed including data analysis and forecasting.Assist and lead other special projects, ad hoc reporting requests, and team backup as needed.Qualifications:Five plus years of experience in data management preferably within CPG industry.Systems and Tools experience- SAP, Agris, M3 preferred: proficiency managing and making recommendations for efficiencies with systems and tools, such as SAP and supporting applications.Excellent Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment.Self-motivation in a fast pace environment.Cross-functional Dependencies: experience effectively working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge.Requires strong verbal and written communication skills, and basic knowledge of general business concepts.EEO Statement:Winland Foods believes that diversity and inclusion among our teammates is critical to our success as a global company, and we seek to recruit develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool.
