You should have a diversity of strengths, including experience with statistical analysis, query, or programming language/format (Structured Query Language [SQL], Python, R, etc.) and with analyzing large data sets within the healthcare industry. You should be passionate about research and learning and have exceptional written and verbal communications, excellent documentation, critical thinking, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate should have the ability to manage and develop key relationships with colleagues and clients through collaborative thinking and a solid customer focus.Serving as a senior data analyst, your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC consultant will be providing data analysis expertise to help to understand, improve, and measure the quality of healthcare data across various domains, systems, and client agencies.Key Responsibilities:
Experience writing ad hoc queries in SQL.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel.Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and to determine analytics next steps and plan analyses.Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and to understand their needs through excellent listening and effective written and verbal communication.Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
Experience using R, SAS or Python.Experience with Clinical data, Medicaid data or Social Care data.Experience using clinical data, provider data, and/or payer data to inform decision making.Knowledge of healthcare data standards and exchange protocols, such as Health Level 7 (HL7) or X12.Experience with data quality analysis, data cleansing, or data profiling.Master's degree in mathematics, data analysis, health informatics, statistics, computer science, or a related discipline.Education and Experience:
