Vaco Atlanta is currently recruiting for an Accounting Consultant for one of our clients located in the Smyrna area! This position will be responsible for a variety of general accounting duties, month end close activities, such as journal entries, reconciliations and preparation of numerous reports along with the ability to analyze financial information. This role is 100% in office. 4 month contract with the potential for extension
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for a variety of month end close activities, which may include but is not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, amortizations, accruals, deferrals and other adjusting entriesComplex balance sheet reconciliationsCompile internal financial reports and analyses for senior managementAssist with both external financial audits and internal control audits, preparing required worksheets and documentsOther projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is requiredCPA requiredLarge company experience- requiredMinimum 10 years of related experience in an accounting system environment, ideally using systems and applicationsStrong month end close experience with exposure to the whole close cycle & complete chart of accountsProven ability to handle complicated reconciliations for bank accounts and all balance sheet accountsThorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Financial ReportingAdvanced Microsoft Excel, including pivots, v-lookups, sum-if statements and data connections
