Overview

Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

Responsible for the operation and excellent understanding of the Injection Molding equipment and overall flow of product through the injection molding press. Operation of Injection Molding manufacturing equipment involves processing and mechanical adjustments to the machine and its components to obtain high quality production output that meets or exceeds customer expectations. This position requires the ability to run the Injection Molding equipment from start to finish. The Process Technician will be an expert in the process and will be fully responsible and accountable for this operation.

Opening on 1st shift: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm

Pay rate is $23.65/hour

Responsibilities

Understands and communicates standard production objectives through proper machine operation and records production accuratelyMakes all necessary machine adjustments during Start-ups and maintains consistent machine operation and product quality in terms of customer specifications (i.e., bottle height, volumetric, top-load, visual defects, section weights, finish dimensions, etc.)Has authority to stop machines/production and diagnose and/or troubleshoot machine or equipment problems and breakdowns with Shift Supervisor/Shift Lead or Shift Maintenance MechanicUnderstand start up and shut down procedures necessary to minimize downtime and equipment wear and tearEnsure proper and safe operational conditions of all production and related equipmentImprove the production equipment, utilities, efficiency and reliabilityMaintains housekeeping (neat, clean and orderly manner) of all assigned areas.Assist in continuous improvement of plant operationsDemonstrate ability to complete a mold change and applicable set up processesRecommend, plan, repair, modify, and fabricate any necessary elements following a problem or a project, which may have an effect on the productivityCommunicate to the supervisor on the condition of all production equipmentKeep all tools in good and safe condition and ensure tools are returned to its appropriate locationAssist in training new employeesOperate a forklift as neededFollows all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook and as trained during the various safety-related training programs. Understands and communicates all hazards and safety issues to co-workers and managers/supervisors. Properly uses all personal protective equipmentMaintain a clean and organized work area through general housekeeping and 5S activitiesPerform other related duties as required or directed by management.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience:Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and entering information into a production databaseThorough working knowledge of audit and corrective action processesWork well in a team environment, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
