About the Role

The Company is excited to invite applications for the role of Vice President of Software Engineering for its Marketplace. In this pivotal position, you will lead the charge in crafting and executing a forward-thinking software development strategy that aligns technology solutions with business objectives. This leadership role entails managing a dynamic team, fostering innovation, and collaborating extensively with the executive team to define and implement impactful technology strategies.

Your key responsibilities will include providing strategic leadership, managing a talented team, staying on top of technology trends, and cultivating a culture of operational excellence and collaboration across functions. You will need a robust background in web marketing and experience in modernizing legacy systems.

Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of 12 years in software development and at least 5 years in a senior management or executive position. Expertise in JavaScript technologies, Python programming, cloud hosting, and containerization is essential. A proven track record in leading and scaling software engineering teams, along with experience in marketplace environments and in modernizing legacy systems, is highly sought after. Exceptional communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement are also required.
