Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for an Integrated Product Team (IPT)-Principal/Sr. Principal IPT Lead to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Baltimore, MD.What You'll Get To Do:This individual will lead a cross-discipline engineering team typically greater than 5 people for a low to medium risk project and interface with Engineering & Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance. The selected candidate will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings.Roles & Responsibilities:Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development and production phases.
Support proposal development and new program acquisition efforts.
Interpret statements of work assigned by program leadership.
Develop and execute to project budgets and schedules, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecasts.
Interface with functional departments to secure team staffing.
Work with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements.
Brief internal and customer leadership on progress of work assigned.
Principal IPT Lead (level 3) Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience, a Masters degree with 3 years of experience or a PhD with 0 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated leadership responsibilities in a team environment.
Comprehensive understanding of the Design, Manufacturing and Test Integration process.
Ability to work on-site at BWI campus and areas nearby.
U.S. Citizenship and the ability to acquire and maintain a minimum Interim Secret clearance prior to start.
Sr. Principal IPT Lead (level 4) Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM-related discipline with a minimum of 8 years related experience, or Masters Degree and a minimum of 6 years related experience, or a PhD degree and 3 years related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
U.S. Citizenship and the ability to acquire and maintain a minimum Interim Secret clearance prior to start.
Experience as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, Technical lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business function with demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Leadership experience in a team environment.
Basic understanding of the Design, Manufacturing, or Test process.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) projects.
Fluency with developing and executing project schedules.
PMP certification a plus.
Active and current Top-Secret government clearance.
This role is contingent upon the ability to acquire and maintain a minimum Interim Secret clearance prior to start.Salary Range:
$102,400 - $153,600Salary Range 2:
