Position Overview:
This role will work closely with our Technology & Innovation Architect and Business Analyst to understand and define agile requirements and drive entire SLDC process from design to building ServiceNow-based solutions.
Responsibilities:
The Developer will be responsible for:
Gathering Requirements, Analysis, Design, UI, Workflow and Application Development activities.
Facilitating rollouts of new applications, enhancements, and new modules.
Implementing ServiceNow customizations including, but not limited to: Scoped Applications, Client Scripts, UI policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, Business Rules, workflow administration, and Reports.
Qualifications and Skills:
Excellent understanding of the ways in which ServiceNow can be configured, customized, and scripted in both Global and scoped application environments.
Knowledge of how to assess the performance of a ServiceNow environment, how to diagnose performance problems, and best practices for improving performance.
Ability to write JavaScript code that is easy to read, follows standards with extensibility and reuse in mind
Ability to write unit tests and support end to end testing across all phases of SDLC
Knowledge of best practices and development patterns
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be comfortable engaging stakeholders, process owners, and non-technical users.
Must be experienced in working with business users to identify business requirements and workflows, and able to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Develop clear and concise technical and process documentation, making use of the knowledgebase module within ServiceNow.
Identify, train, and communicate best practices related to ServiceNow development and usage to customers and employees
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent
Minimum of 3+ years ServiceNow platform (required)
Must have 5+ years of overall Software Development experience.
Must have 3+ years of ServiceNow Scoped Application Development experience
Must have 3+ years of JavaScript programming experience on ServiceNow Platform.
Experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology
ServiceNow Developer (CAD) and Administration (CSA) Certification
Experience with scripting in ServiceNow (Scoped App, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Pages, UI Macros, etc.)
Experience in working a large-scale development work on ServiceNow
Experience developing apps using ServiceNow Platform
Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to multi-task in a fast paced, high-volume environment
ITIL V3 Certification
Knowledge of ITIL processes
Understanding of databases
Previous legacy Migration to ServiceNow experience
Knowledge of SQL and CI/CD
