The D / Golden Gate / Circa / OtherSUMMARY:The Network Security Administrator serves as the front line for administering cyber security appliances or applications. They will be responsible for day-to-day configuration and troubleshooting of these systems as well as the monitoring of security alerts, either directly handling or escalating after initial analysis.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Support and participate in cyber security programs to protect the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of the organization's technology infrastructure and information resources.Administer Palo Alto firewalls security policies.Administer Aruba ClearPass network access control.Ability to assess network activity and system configuration for anomalous activity to determine system security status.Provide standard daily operational support for cybersecurity systems.Monitor and inspect alerts to determine legitimacy and perform initial analysis if valid, and then escalating any alerts that require additional attention.Assess, prioritize, and differentiate between potential intrusion attempts and false alarms.Maintain general knowledge and understanding of current cyber threats.Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to triage, and resolve critical technical issues.Interpret and act on results from various security technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Solutions, DLP, etc.Work closely with other IT team members and other departments.Provide off-hours support on an infrequent, but as needed basis.Other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:No direct reports for this position.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Must be at least 21 years of age.Technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems and a wide range of security technologies, such as firewalls, network security appliances, anti-malware solutions, automated policy compliance tools, and desktop security tools is preferred.Knowledge of common applications, network protocols, and network/security analysis is preferred.Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with guests, management, outside contacts, or other team members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:A minimum of 2 years equivalent IT practical work experience and/or applicable certifications or an associate’s degree from a two-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security or related field.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:IT industry certifications (Security+, Network+, CySA+, etc.) preferred but not required.Must be eligible to obtain gaming licenses from multiple jurisdictions with varying requirements if necessary.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Must be able to effectively communicate in English.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:High-school level math abilities required.COMPUTER SKILLS:Yes, many: see Essential Duties section.DISCLAIMER:This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements efforts or working conditions associated with the job.
