DeMarr Engineering currently seeks a civil engineer with at least 3 years of experience. As an integral member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, gain valuable experience, and contribute to the success of our firm. This role will involve managing design projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will utilize Civil Engineer I & II employees to assist in plan preparation and permitting to effectively complete projects in a timely manner. Project Engineer will be mentored by two licensed professional civil engineers to develop design experience and prepare for the Principles and Practice of Engineering Exam.Responsibilities

Communicate via email and phone calls with clients and plan reviewers.Work on developing conceptual site layout with clients.Prepare conceptual, design development, and construction drawings.Design stormwater management practices and prepare stormwater calculations.Prepare all associated calculations, reports, and spreadsheets for adequate outfall analysis.General support of the design team in all aspects of a given project.Conduct code research and write plan specifications for the contractor to follow.Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe is preferred.3+ years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.Strong technical knowledge and expertise in site development, hydrology, and stormwater management is preferred.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Microsoft Office is required.Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
