The Information Technology Manager designs, develops, implements, and manages Cutsforth’s information technology infrastructure, including computer application systems, computer and communication systems, network and related systems. They also establish and maintain information technology policies, procedures, and standards. The IT Manager aligns IT processes with current and future business objectives by maturing and documenting technologies and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management & Business Administration:
Develop and execute IT strategies, set performance goals, and measure outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.Delegate tasks effectively and lead the team through project execution, ensuring timely and quality delivery.Foster team development by providing support and opportunities for career growth and professional development.Prepare reports and dashboards for reporting to management, highlighting key performance metrics and project statuses.Maintain and manage the IT catalog, ensuring budget adherence and cost-effective resource allocation.
Technology Management:
Manage hardware and software inventory and procurement, including audits to ensure compliance with standards, policies, and configuration guidelines; hardware and software maintenance; evaluation and purchase of new hardware and software; and negotiation with vendors for software licenses.Monitor information technology infrastructure and related system operations and assess potential risks in coordination with the cybersecurity team.Implement recovery and backup procedures.Research and evaluate new technology, techniques, threats, and industry best practices to optimize efficiency and usability and minimize vulnerabilities.Monitor network and system performance to ensure operations are within established standards and develop recommendations for enhancements to improve operations and increase system capabilities.Perform hardware and software upgrades to ensure all systems are up to date.Configure and maintain key technology and communications including firewalls, internet connections, remote access, etc.Establish and maintain information technology policies, procedures, and standards.Align IT processes with current and future business objectives by maturing and documenting technologies and processes.
Technical Support:
Assist staff with diagnosing and solving computer equipment problems.Troubleshoot and resolve server issues, networks, remote access, email, and desktop solutions.Plan for and respond to service outages and other workstation or server problems, diagnosing and correcting the problems.
Technology Training:
Evaluate training requirements for current and new IT solutions, develop appropriate training materials, and provide staff training.Develop and present equipment and policy training to staff and end users.
Solutions Administration:
Develop analytical and reporting tools, feasibility studies, and recommendations for enhancements to the information technology infrastructure and its supporting hardware and software.Test system updates and patches as well as application rollouts and troubleshoot issues.Administer user accounts, permissions, and passwords and ensure users can securely access data.Create and maintain documentation of processes, policies, and systems.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other relevant technology area.6 or more years’ experience in administrating relevant technologies.2 or more years in a technical management role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Highly proficient knowledge of enterprise Microsoft solutions, and other technical business tools such as administration of Office 365, Teams, Azure, etc.Working knowledge of enterprise device management, identity management, and technical best practices in an enterprise environment.Excellent communication skills, reporting skills, administrative writing skills; demonstrated ability to work constructively within teams.Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced organization with diverse business needs.Demonstrated ability to develop and manage administrative processes and analyze information.
Other Qualifications:

Responsible for reviewing policies and procedures related to cybersecurity and those relevant to the functions of their role.Expected to maintain a cybersecure work environment.
