About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Finance and Administration, also known as the CFO/CAO, to oversee its financial, capital, and human resources. The successful candidate will be a key member of the President's leadership team, responsible for developing and implementing fiscal management and operational strategies to ensure the institution's financial sustainability. This role involves close collaboration with the President, Provost, Board of Trustees, and other leaders to align resources with institutional priorities and devise long-term planning strategies. The VPFA will also be tasked with identifying new revenue-generating opportunities, assessing risk, and modernizing financial and administrative processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate for the VPFA position at the company will be a student-centered, transparent, and collaborative leader with a strong background in finance and administration. They should be forward-thinking, entrepreneurial, and experienced in change management, with a proven track record of making strategic investment decisions. The role requires a candidate with at least ten years' experience in finance and administration, a bachelor's degree (MBA or advanced degree preferred), and a deep understanding of the higher education landscape. The VPFA must be adept at negotiating complex financial transactions, have a good sense of humor, and be able to balance short-term and long-term financial priorities. Experience with system implementations, particularly Workday, is a plus.
