Job Summary:
In the position of Inventory Control Specialist you will be responsible for daily maintenance and accuracy of data contained within SAP, perform daily counts to monitor and maintain inventory levels.

In the position of Inventory Control Specialist you will be responsible for daily maintenance and accuracy of data contained within SAP, perform daily counts to monitor and maintain inventory levels.
Essential Job Functions:
- Monitor and maintain current inventory levels, control the outflow and inflow of inventory.
- Record purchases, maintain database, and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
- Develop inventory process enhancements, investigate daily inventory issues and determine resolution.
- Lead the annual inventory process in collaboration with accounting.
- Assists in developing and initiating control policies and procedures and in planning activities that relate to inventory control in the organization.
- Monitor first expired, first out (FEFO) inventory management method for perishable good is maintained across distribution center.
- Analyze inventory statistics to determine which products are selling the most and which are under-performing, analyzing weeks on hand for individual stock keeping unit (sku).
- Process and document returns as required following established procedures.
- Tracks inventory maintenance and keeps management up to date regarding inventory inflow and outflow; compiles inventory information and presents it to management with recommendations for effective decision making, which may include the need for restock or for quick resolution of issues.
- Support management in training department personnel, scheduling work assignments, and monitoring quality controls.
- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Logistics, Business Administration, or similar field of study.
- Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in inventory control position.
- Computer Skills Desired: Advanced Excel skills, including: create spreadsheets, pivot tables and charts, use and write formulas and functions, vlookup, conditional formatting, use sort, filter, and other data analysis functions.
- Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Familiar with SAP and EDI programs is a plus.
