Surgery - General Physician

Our client, a 500+ bed medical center on Long Island, is hiring a Wound Care Surgeon .Job Responsibilities:* Assessment, evaluation, and treatment of patients, specifically those with acute and/or chronic wounds, and ostomy management* Education as well as management of fistulae, tubes, skin, and incontinence issues* Work in conjunction with physicians, nursing staff and ancillary staff to evaluate, propose, plan and perform patient assessment and treatments* Oversee inpatient, outpatient wound services and the hyperbaric oxygen treatment* Perform teaching and quality control for the wound services* Function as member of team to review wound services performance, policies and initiatives.* Work in an article 28 Center when not in surgery* Join the wound care teamJob Requirements:* Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, or Wound Care Surgery* HBO (Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment) Certified* Broad and in-depth technical knowledge and skills related to the practice of medicine and wound careJob Perks:* Competitive salary, great benefits, and other attractive incentives* Generous PTO* All major insurances (health, life, disability)* Work-life balance is valued* A team environment that believes in employee development, professional growth, and company longevity* Culture is one of mutual respect, teamwork, and equality* The organization embraces and values an inclusive work environmentSalary: The posted salary range is not a guarantee.
