Our client, a 500+ bed medical center on Long Island, is hiring a
Wound Care Surgeon .Job Responsibilities:Assessment, evaluation, and treatment of patients, specifically those with acute and/or chronic wounds, and ostomy managementEducation as well as management of fistulae, tubes, skin, and incontinence issuesWork in conjunction with physicians, nursing staff and ancillary staff to evaluate, propose, plan and perform patient assessment and treatmentsOversee inpatient, outpatient wound services and the hyperbaric oxygen treatmentPerform teaching and quality control for the wound servicesFunction as member of team to review wound services performance, policies and initiatives.Work in an article 28 Center when not in surgeryJoin the wound care teamJob Requirements:Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, or Wound Care SurgeryHBO (Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment) CertifiedBroad and in-depth technical knowledge and skills related to the practice of medicine and wound care
