As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for steering the company's financial operations and strategy. You will handle high-level financial strategy and oversight, with a focus on operational and tactical financial management to support the growth, innovation of our technologies, and to positively impact the future of energy!
Responsibilities
Financial Operations Management:
Manage daily financial operations, including accounting, payroll, billing, and financial reporting. Work closely with the executive leadership team to align on strategic financial initiatives and ensure operational execution.Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the preparation of budget reports and financial forecasts, and analyze budget variances and financial performance in alignment with the company's goals and projects.Financial Planning and Analysis:
Conduct detailed financial analyses to support decision making by the executive team and other senior leaders. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data and trends.Compliance and Control:
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations. Manage all financial and audit processes to uphold financial health and integrity.Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with the executive leadership team to effectively communicate financial status and updates to internal and external stakeholders, including potential investors and financial institutions.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; an MBA or CPA is preferred.8+ years of financial management experience at the senior manager or director level.Prior experience in a high-growth startup.Experience supporting hardware organizations and complex integrated supply chains (deep tech, fusion energy, aerospace, or space and defense preferred).Experience taking a company through various fundraising rounds and/or IPO.Comprehensive understanding of financial accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Strong FP&A experience.Demonstrated ability to implement financial systems, processes, and controls.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to business issues.Ability to maintain trust and deliver on commitments.Proven experience working with rigorous urgency.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum.Desired
MBA or CPAProficient with the latest financial software and accounting systems.Effective leadership and team management abilities.
$200,000 - $250,000 a year
Candidates may be considered for other positions at Xcimer Energy, and our actual base salary will be determined on an individual basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. The range is published in accordance with Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and California Equal Pay Act.
