ECS is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Test Lead
to join our Federal Practice in the DMV area. As a Test Lead, you will be responsible for setting the test and evaluation strategy and standards for a federal program and overseeing testers. This position requires advanced quality assurance and software testing experience.
Primary Duties
Develop test strategy and methodologies for the program (including internal, regression, and User Acceptance Testing), focused on Test Driven Development (TDD)Coordinate and enforce implementation of test strategy across teamsDevelop templates for test plans and test resultsCollaborate with project management and developers on timing and content of builds, releases, and patchesLead the detailed planning and execution of specific testing activities, as defined within the scope of individual projectsOversee the testing activities and resource allocation of testersManage and coordinate cross-team testing activitiesWork closely with developers to groom user stories to ensure testing considerations are included; communicate and discuss test plans, results, data analysis, and unresolved problemsWork with closely with customers to understand requirements, think through functional test scenarios based on the persona, and advise the team on test cases related to the productCollect, analyze, and report test metricsEstablish best practices in Configuration Management for test-related itemsIdentify, analyze, and track risks, communicating statuses, and escalating concerns when neededContinually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, develop and deepen long-lasting client relationshipsSalary Range: $95,000 - $110,000

Must successfully complete a stringent Background Investigation and obtain the required Government Security U.S. Citizenship is a requirement)Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline7+ years' test management experience5+ years hands-on testing experienceAdvanced knowledge and experience in formulating test plans and strategies, including documentation of techniques and communication to internal and external senior stakeholdersExperience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence, or Azure DevOps ServerExperience supporting teams with standard testing types:
Unit tests (white, gray, black)Regression testingScripting and automated test suites
Experience working with a Federal CustomerExperience managing client requirements and small teamsExperience supporting multiple software development teamsExperience working in an Agile project environmentStrong client interfacing skills: a positive attitude, highly motivated, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
