Thanks to the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos' presence in the area, Los Alamos also has a college-town vibe that's a major draw for young professionals, families and retirees.Position SummaryThe Training Coordinator is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and overseeing training programs for assigned areas of N3B. This role involves planning, scheduling training sessions for specific individuals in their assigned areas. The position is the main point of contact for all training matters for the specific area the coordinator is assigned. The coordinator will communicate training qualifications and scheduled courses to individuals in their assigned area. The Training Coordinator plays a critical role in enhancing individuals' skills and supporting organizational growth through effective training programs. This position requires strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and development. The Training Coordinator works with supervision, peers, and customers, ensuring that training programs meet customer needs and regulatory drivers.This position reports directly to the Manager, Training QualificationsEssential Duties/Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):Organizing and prioritizing training needs of individualsRegistering personnel for classes and qualification/requalification trainingMaintains accurate records of training activities, participant progress and qualifications.Prepare and present reports on training metrics and outcomes to managementNotifying individuals and their manager, providing training/qualification reports to management, tracking and verifying personnel training to ensure qualifications are metVerifying personnel are attached to the proper qualification standards by working with ManagementRoute training development requests through the Manager, Training QualificationsEnsuring qualification are properly established in the Learning Management System (LMS)Processing data entry for completed training and/or training certificatesVerifying accuracy of training records and submitting completed training records to N3B Records DepartmentResearching training needs of customers (including but not limited to pre-requisite activities and class offerings)Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):Training Coordinator (or previous TC experience/experience working directly with a Training Coordinator)Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS)Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; proficient in Adobe Acrobat SystemsProven self-starter that is willing to navigate systems, documents, and programs to educate oneself in the needs of their customersExperience working with multi-skilled professionals with varying backgrounds/levels of educationExperience with administrative services and activities, including general office management and associated functionsDemonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and follow-through to completion on multiple tasksExperience managing electronic calendars and the ability to coordinate and arrange meetings, conferences and/or travelSkilled in the preparation and formatting of correspondence, reports, and/or presentationsExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, including proofreading, grammar, spelling, punctuation, accuracy, and attention to detailEducation and Experience Required:Level 2:
