Job Description

Primary Function of Position The Market Intelligence Intern will help a wide range of customer and market insight initiatives at Intuitive. This person will conduct both primary and secondary market research studies and analyses, including comparative intelligence. The Market Intelligence Intern will play a key helping role in identifying marketplace opportunities and reducing business decision making risk. They will help members of the Market Intelligence team in confirming business decisions and research targets, identifying the target audience, establishing methodology, designing and programming surveys, managing projects, monitoring competition, conducting comparative analyses, reporting, and preparing presentation decks. They will likely also be an interim member of Market Intelligence's Survey Center of Excellence - providing survey guidance to partners in other parts of the company.

Essential Job DutiesAssist Market Intelligence team members by purposefully consulting with business partnersDevelop/refine research targets, methodology, surveys/guides, competitor profilesObtain secondary, syndicated, and comparative data using external and internal toolsExamine study results. Mine both new and existing data from a variety of studies for insights.Develop study reports/presentation decks, analyses, for business partnersUse creativity to meet insights needs with limited resourcesHelp assist Survey Center of ExcellenceSeek opportunities to grow as a professional market researcherQualifications

Required Skills and Experience

2+ years of experience examining problems using data sets, reason and holistic thinkingExperience with both primary (qualitative and quantitative) and secondary methods.Dedicated interest in healthcare industriesDedicated written and oral communication skillsProficiency in Word, Excel, PP. Experience with SPSS preferred. Graphics design a plusDedicated prioritization and project management skillsProficiency in or ability to learn Qualtrics end user survey toolWillingness and desire to learn new skills and move beyond "comfort zone"University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:

University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree-seeking academic program.Internship Work Period: Must be available to work part-time (approximately 15 hours per week) during a 12 week period starting early January. Undergraduate level degreeEnrollment in a Masters of Marketing Research (or similar) program in good standing

It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including relevant skills and experience for this internship, degree-seeking academic program (PhD, Master's, Bachelor's, etc), year in school, and location. The hourly rate is prorated against the intern program salaries listed and total program compensation will be based on internship duration.
