Your expertise in ACH and Share draft processing, Cash Management, wire transfers, and other deposit-related functions will be crucial in helping us achieve our mission. Apply now and make a difference with us!Expected OutcomesProvide deposit knowledge and member service to both internal and external members.Use knowledge associated with all SCU deposit products, features, benefits, policies, procedures, regulations, and market conditions to answer questions.Implement procedures that support member relationship building and remove activities not involved in the member interaction from the front line.Provide real time feedback and information to front line staff for achieving member standards.

Review and process the exception reports daily (ACH and/or Share draft).Reviews and takes appropriate steps for ACH Stop Payments and ACH Written Statement of Unauthorized Debit forms, including creating returns on Fedline or our core system. If concerns or questions, contacting members and/or staff to ensure items are processed correctly.Review and process ACH origination items including debit origination (DBO) forms and Stop Payment forms.Maintain overall knowledge of compliance, regulatory and procedural aspects of all deposit products, including:

Decedent accountsTrust accountsPower of Attorney accountsPayable on Death rulesUTMA accounts

Manage IRA/HSA forms and applications through our IRA administrator and our core system.Load and process foreign wires, including research with our vendor of any issues that result from foreign wire processing.Process wire requests balancing timeliness with proper security procedures to ensure members funds are delivered and received within approved guidelines. Includes, but not limited to:

Calling title companies to ensure information provided is correct.Contacting members in certain scenarios to ensure wire request is approved and person is familiar with receiver to hedge against fraud.

Provide excellent member service to internal staff and members regarding their accounts over the phone in a efficient manner.Understands and is accountable for executing all job functions in a way that is consistent with all requirements of BSA, OFAC and the USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP).

Job SpecificationsProfessional well-developed writing and interpersonal skills essential for interacting with credit union staff, members and outside business partners.Requires ability to work accurately with figures and ability to perform detailed work. Work also requires the ability to operate a variety of office equipment (Laptop, Microsoft Word and Excel).At least 3 years of experience in a bank or credit union setting.Requires educational equivalent to a high school education with Associates desirable. Additional coursework in office procedures required. A 4-year degree may be considered in lieu of 3 years bank or credit union experience.Requires judgment to solve day-to-day problems but usually within established guidelines using a member service approach. Ability to identify and execute process improvements to increase the member experience or create an efficiency for the department.Ability to analyze situations, problem solve and use good judgement to perform day to day responsibilities. Must have strong, proactive decision-making skills.Ability to work independently, react quickly and solve problems, utilizing the available sources.Self-Disciplined, detail oriented, and can effectively manage time and prioritize multiple tasks.Experience having difficult and/or sensitive conversations with members and internal employees; ability to exhibit empathy and professionalism under stressful circumstances.Intermediate mathematical skills required (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division).
