Job Summary Ascot is seeking an Operations Technical Specialist to support and manage workflows between multiple departments. The Operations Technical Specialist will collaborate with underwriting and other key business partners to transform all elements from underwriting into finished and standardized documents for our insureds. The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the insurance industry, and be a creative problem-solver with a skill for navigating systems and an eye for detail. Responsibilities and Duties Responsible for the management of workflow of an assigned underwriting business unit(s). Gain a strong understanding of business processes by leveraging standardized workflows and compliance guidelines. Identify areas for improvement, create and implement solutions when needed. Provides support to assigned underwriters and brokers throughout the policy lifecycle, which includes, but is not limited to clearance, binders, invoices, policies, endorsements, cancellations, renewals, non-renewals, and reinstatements. Create completed files that meet compliance standards, proofread and finalize policy documents. Ensure all work is processed accurately and according to Service Level Agreements Provides ongoing guidance and support to the offshore shared service team, including training and conducting quality checks. Collaborate with the offshore team/Service Center as needed. Ability to complete midterm endorsement exposure changes. Communicate effectively with the underwriting team to secure the information necessary to accurately process the accounts. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 2-5 years' experience in insurance industry Auto insurance experience strongly preferred High school diploma, college degree preferred. Demonstrates effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills. Provides service excellence to internal and external partners, delivering an experience that exceeds the customer's expectations. Takes ownership and responsibility of performance and results. Able to collaborate in situations when actions are interdependent, and a team is mutually responsible to produce desired results. Strong time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint This position may be filled at a different level, depending on experience Compensation Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual cash bonus, long-term incentives, and other forms of discretionary compensation awarded by the Company. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $55,000 - $65,000.
