Job Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Associate Vice President for Information Technology and in coordination with the Automotive Energy Supply Corporation (AESC) Project Director, this position will serve as a Helpdesk Engineer support contact for readySC end-users, partners and related system office staff on Information Technology (IT) related issues. The Helpdesk Engineer will provide technical support in solving routine user hardware and software problems or questions including desktop computer hardware and software, enterprise system software, audio visual and telecommunication devices. Install, configure, test, maintain, tune, administer, document and resolve problems on file workstations, network, peripherals and additional specialized audio visual equipment. Participate in and co-lead help desk activities at remote readySC project sites. Provide helpdesk support and issue resolution to the end users' satisfaction, while responding to end users' questions and inquiries via telephone, email, web, and other communication methods. Coordinate with other IT staff members to solve problems and provide remote management of remote sites. Work with IT management/staff and readySC staff with developing Helpdesk guidelines and operating procedures. Provide training to end users as needed. Consult with staff, management and end users for preparation of needs assessments, solution strategies and standards. Provide support for business solutions and the development of Information Technology, Security and related implementations.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and relevant experience.
Knowledge of advanced network and server design; network administration practices and procedures; microcomputer and network hardware and software. Experience managing projects. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Extensive knowledge of or Certification in networking technology and devices.
