Our Client, a Business manufacturing and supply company, is looking for a Controls Engineer III for their Wilmington, NC location.

Responsibilities:
This position will work with other team members to manage, modify, and develop computer systems required to manufacture optical fiber.The position will also participate in or occasionally lead projects to meet the plant's objectives, drive cost reduction efforts and participate in capacity expansion efforts.Assist team of engineers to provide production support and troubleshooting for 24/7 manufacturing operation. Work with production associates, technicians, and engineers to ensure reliable equipment operation via automated control systems and user interfaces.Support process and product optimization/improvement efforts.Provide training for engineers and/or production associates as needed for new processes, equipment, or control systems.Participate in capital projects.Some after hours, on-call support may be needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science; or equivalent experience5+ years in a technical role or relevant experienceKnowledge in computer and PLC programming skills such as: VB, .net, C, Realtime systems or similarAbility/experience integrating computers into manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and lower costMS Windows, iFIX, EthernetIP I/O, Microsoft Office. Real time controls systems, experience with motion systems (desired but not required), SCADA, TwincatExperience in production support in a manufacturing environmentProblem-solving and debugging skills; ability to understand real needs behind operations and engineering requestsAbility/experience troubleshooting simple low voltage electrical circuitry.
